Linda Tompkin - 2017 Prima  Inductee

Linda is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the Ohio Watercolor Society, the American Artists Professional League, and the Akron Society of Artists. JURIED EXHIBITIONS INCLUDE: The American Watercolor Society, NY and Touring Exhibitions The Butler Museum Midyear, Ohio The National Academy of Design, NY The Ohio Watercolor Society, and Touring Exhibitions The National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic, NY The American Artists Professional League, NY The National Watercolor Society, CA, and Touring Exhibition My work has been featured in The Artist's Magazine and the American Artist Magazine and in five books: The Best of Watercolor I, II, III and Artist's photo reference books: Barns and Buildings, and The Ultimate Guide to Painting from Photographs. I have been an invited artist in many solo and small group shows including exhibitions at the Canton Art Museum, Ohio and Summit Art Space, Akron, Ohio. My work is currently represented by the Group Ten Gallery, in Kent, Ohio.

Elena Eros - Prima Member since 2016

Elena Eros was born in Moscow, Russia. Her first drawing teacher was her father Boris Egorov, who was an aircraft designer. Her first esthetic inspirations Ms. Eros got from visits to Russian Orthodox Churches with her grandmother Alexandra Egorova and her mother Eugenia Egorova, very talented photographer. Elena Eros's first art instructor was A. Motovilov, internationally known Soviet realist painter.

In 1971 Ms. Eros competed with thousands of other talented young people from all over the Soviet Union and after a series of entry exams, won a coveted place at the Faculty of Applied Art, Moscow State University of Design and Technology.She studied under renowned artists: Dubinchik, Chistyakov, Trofimov... In 1973, Ms. Eros was awarded an "Outstanding Student International Scholarship", enabling her to continue her education at the Hungarian University of Art and Design in Budapest, where many innovative designers taught (amongst them Mr. Erno Rubik, inventor of the famous Cubic Rubik). Elena Eros has a MFA in Fashion Design. In 1980 Ms. Eros was invited to work as a professor assistant at the Moscow University of Design and Technology. Later Ms. Eros moved back to Budapest, where she worked as a Fashion Trend Coordinator, Fashion Designer and Illustrator at Hungarian Fashion Institute, Portrait Artist in Residence for Hungarian Medical Society, Background painter for "Pannonia Film Studios"...

Ms. Eros moved to Great Britain in 1996, where she started to paint Windsor and Ascot Race Courses, Emphasizing decorative aspects of those spectacular events. Her popular "Hats" series have become her signature paintings with unique prospective and stylized impressionistic interpretation of those events. Ms. Eros's classical art education in Russia and training as a designer in Hungary, allows her to take a unique decorative approach in her figurative paintings. Elena Eros moved to the USA in 2006 and she won an International Drawing Competition for American Artist Magazine. Ms. Eros has been demonstrating and teaching extensively, she is a member of Oil Painters of America and American Academy of Equine Art. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections Internationally.
